• After eating anything or drinking a carbonated or caffeinated beverage, rinse your mouth with plain water.
• Limit drinking caffeinated beverages or fizzy drinks to one or two a day.
• Stop smoking.
• Brush and floss your teeth after each meal.
• Eat crunchy, fresh food like apple pieces or celery sticks. They are nature’s toothbrush.
Finally, if you are still not happy with the appearance of your smile; visit a local dentists’ office. There are professional teeth whitening products available to improve your smile. Be careful if you choose to use a DIY (do-it-yourself) teeth whitening kit. These can damage the enamel of your teeth or burn your gums. Also, be sure to avoid a popular home remedy: Lemon juice.
